Lindiwe is passionate about teaching and in 2011 she won the SOAS Director's Teaching Prize for inspirational and dedicated teaching.
The courses she currently offers at SOAS are:
- Filmmaking and Curatorial Practices in the Age of Festivalization
- South African Film and Visual Culture: Before and During Apartheid
- South African Film and Visual Culture: 1994-2014
Lindiwe currently has eight PhD students who are working on topics related to film, radio, media, music, and cultural festivals in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Senegal, and the African diaspora. She welcomes applications for doctoral research focusing on all aspects of African screen media and, in particular, the South African context, film festivals, and gender dynamics.
In addition to the university courses Lindiwe teaches at SOAS mentioned above, she also regularly gives public lectures and seminars in different parts of the world, and participates in academic and industry conferences and panels.
